Sustainability and Environment

We know. The fashion industry is no environmental hero. In fact, it is one of the biggest culprits in the world. We are a part of it, but we will not hide. We see it for what it is, a challenge but also an opportunity. Every pair of pants we sketch is a chance to make a difference. We cannot change the entire industry overnight, but we can take responsibility, make better choices, and work methodically to improve every single day.

Design with Intention

Every new product begins with a question: will our customers truly love these pants? We do not design to fill shelves that later turn into waste. That is why we avoid extremely niche items and patterns that may not stand the test of time. We work with a conscious design philosophy, aiming to create pants that are worn again and again.

Coming Soon – an Important Category

Our “Coming Soon” category is more than a teaser for new products. It is one of our most important tools to reduce unnecessary production and wrong purchases. By measuring interest in advance, we can quickly determine whether a product should move into production or not. If the engagement is low, we scrap it immediately. In this way, we eliminate waste before the first garment is even sewn.

Taking Samples Seriously

For us, sampling rounds are more than a step in the process, they are the very heart of development. Every button, every seam, every drape of the fabric is reviewed until we are satisfied. And we are only satisfied when the pants are ready to become a natural part of your wardrobe.

Pants Made to Last

We do not design for throwaway fashion. A MADLADY pant is made to last, both in quality and in style. And when you feel it is time to move on, we want your pants to live on with someone else instead of being discarded.

Responsible Production

We are not looking for the cheapest supplier, we are looking for the right supplier and partners who provide fair wages and good working conditions. We want the people behind our pants to be treated well, and we believe in long term relationships over quick profits. That means we keep our prices at a level that allows us to deliver quality while ensuring fair conditions in production.

Today, we can proudly say that 95 percent of our goods are shipped by sea, which is the most sustainable option for the environment and for our volumes. The remaining goods are mostly transported by train, and we now have almost no air freight. This allows us to keep emissions significantly lower while maintaining a stable and reliable supply chain.

We Track Every Return

A return is never just a return. It is data and insight. Each season we analyze every model, review the numbers, and act accordingly. The goal is to understand why a garment was not kept and adjust so that returns become fewer. Just as important is making sure our customers always have accurate information about fit and size from the start, so that every purchase feels secure and natural.

Our Promise

We will never call ourselves finished. But we promise to always evaluate and always take responsibility for every step we take. For us, sustainability is a process of constant improvement. It is an ongoing effort, every single day, and it always begins with the pants.
